The Overgeared anime is now streaming on Crunchyroll. Japan’s early Prime Video release began on September 27, 2026, followed by the television premiere on October 2. Those dates describe different releases of the same series, not two separate adaptations.
For English-speaking viewers, start with Overgeared’s official Crunchyroll listing. The Japanese title is Tempal: Item no Chikara, so that name may appear in trailers and broadcast announcements.

How to check new episodes and the English dub
Open the Crunchyroll series page and select Season 1. Episode 1 is titled Legendary Class. Use the platform’s release calendar for your selected language and location, rather than converting a Japanese TV time into an assumed worldwide streaming time.
Crunchyroll lists English among the available audio languages. Open the episode you want to watch and select English in its audio settings; the newest dubbed episode may differ from the newest subtitled one. Availability also depends on your region.
Watch the official Overgeared trailer
The trailer introduces Grid’s blacksmithing premise and shows the anime’s character designs and combat. It is a useful preview of the adaptation without needing a summary of later manhwa arcs.
What is Overgeared about?
Youngwoo plays the virtual-reality game Satisfy under the name Grid. He is struggling with money and getting nowhere in the game until a rare discovery gives him a legendary blacksmith class. His opportunity comes from making exceptional equipment, rather than beginning as an unbeatable fighter.
That crafting focus is the reason to try the premise. Weapons, materials and the value of what Grid produces matter alongside combat. Try it if you enjoy watching a weak character build an advantage through crafting, trading and gradual progress.

This is a story about a VR game, so do not assume the setup is that Grid dies and reincarnates in another world. The distinction matters if you are choosing between game-based progression and an isekai adventure. Our system manhwa guide compares related kinds of progression stories.
Who is making the anime?
The official staff page credits J.C.STAFF for animation production, Ayako Kono as director, Kenta Ihara for series composition and Ryosuke Tanigawa for character design. EGG FIRM is credited for production.
The source credits distinguish Saenal’s novel, Monohumbug’s adaptation and Team Argo’s art. REDICE STUDIO’s involvement with the comic is not an animation-studio credit for the television series.
How many episodes will Overgeared have?
The announced Blu-ray release covers 12 episodes. The official listings include episodes 1 to 6 in Volume 1 and episodes 7 to 12 in Volume 2. Start at episode 1; there is no earlier Overgeared anime season to watch first.
Where can you read the Overgeared comic?
Tappytoon publishes an official English edition of the Overgeared comic. Its listing identifies Team Argo, Monohumbug and Saenal, and offers the opening episodes as a starting point. Later access can require payment or the platform’s own unlock options.
Choose the comic if you want a visual version to read alongside the anime. If you switch formats, beginning at the comic’s opening is safer than assuming an anime episode maps to one specific chapter: adaptations can rearrange or condense material. You do not need to read ahead to understand the anime’s opening premise.
